Getting FMLS Listings...
Marietta Ga is located northwest of Atlanta outside the I285 perimeter and within Cobb County. Marietta zip codes are 30006, 30007, 30008, 30060, 30061, 30062, 30063, 30064, 30065, 30066, 30067, 30068, 30069, and 30090. The city is named after the wife of a Senator in the 1800s from the area. The city has a rich history that originally was heavily influenced by the railroads and a series of 3 fires that destroyed much of it in the 1850s and once again during the civil war. The area was rebuilt and still retains much of its historical charm. The town square is a bustling, attractive, center with many government buildings, including the county courthouse. On the square you will also find many restaurants and shops creating an entertaining mix complimented by planned events.
Marietta is most easily accessed via I75 and the North and South Loops. While receiving driving directions in the area you may be told to reference the "Big Chicken". This is a KFC with a huge structure towering over Cobb Parkway that resembles the profile of a chicken. You can't miss it.
Marietta has it's share of historical houses and beautiful victorian homes available. Much of it for very reasonable prices. The city has seen new construction in just about every form- new homes, townhomes, and even condominiums. Developments and redevelopments have been booming with something for everyone.
Unfortunately Marietta home foreclosures are not hard to find. These opportunities can be found by searching here or on our foreclosure page. All of our searches access both the FMLS and MLS real estate listings services.
